the Truth Telling Project
I worked with MythMedia Studios to create a marketing platform, re-branding strategy, and social media campaign for the Truth Telling Project, a community activist group in Ferguson, Missouri. This project was to promote two 2019 events: their National Grassroots Convening and the country wide #ReparationSundays gatherings. The group asked for “icon” styles of both passed and living civil rights leaders, that would be surrounded by a form of spiritual glow. I used images of nature and gave each figure a distinct geometric “halo.” I combined these “halo” portraits with backgrounds from nature. These events were bringing together people from many different faith backgrounds, so I employed natural scenes as a method of making these images both spiritual and religiously neutral.
