featured projects
A couple recent projects that I’ve been having a little too much fun with.
City emblems
Over the past year, between studying abroad in Budapest and working in Louisiana, I’ve been roaming to dozens of cities, from New Orleans to Sofia. I took thousands of pictures along the way of the unique architecture, graffiti, public art, and idiosyncrasies of each city. These photo collages and drawings are my attempt at capturing the feelings of wandering these cities, combining photography and ornamental design based off of their distinct geometries.
heirloom
Using photos from Baker Creek Heirloom Seeds catalogs, I’ve been making collages with glitter and rhinestones to show off the beauty of the seemingly endless varieties and wonderful colors of fruits and vegetables. I’m selling these pieces (prices range from $20-45) as a fundraiser for the Dox Thrash House, a project that seeks to restore the historic home of Dox Thrash, a prominent Black print maker who set the stage for much of Philadelphia’s printmaking scene.
behind the veil
Beyohnd the Veil: Tapestries of Eastern Europe are collages based on my personal experiences exploring Central and Eastern European cities.
