and our region

I was asked to design posters for the Center for Peace and Global Citizenship at Haverford College for their film and discussion series titled “Human Movement, Inclusivity, and Our Region.” This series discussed the experiences of the many communities that come to Philadelphia from all parts of the globe to find safety, opportunity, and a new home.

I used images from the films laid over a vector of a world map split into a striped pattern. The curved lines show the trajectory of the migrations discussed in each film, placed next to the corresponding event. The bold colors and typography are meant to reflect the vibrancy and cultural richness that each of these communities brings to Philadelphia.
