logo and branding

I created the logo and overall branding for HD2 Solutions. HD2 is a collaboration between Robert Peagler and Michael O’Bryan in Philadelphia, which “works with organizations, their employees, and other stakeholders to transform how they understand and support human development, interaction, and performance. We develop and share know-how and tools that enable clients to address their most intractable challenges where inadequate soft/behavioral skills meet issues of stress, social cognitive bias, and race-equity-and inclusion (REI)” (from the HD2 Solutions website).

The client wanted a logo that was elegant and smooth, but contained complex geometry. We wanted to incorporate a feeling of wood and African fractal design. This lead me to a logo that was inspired by the rings inside a tree, but folded over each other to create dimension. I carried through these swirling lines into the branding imagery and stationary layout.
